I’m so excited and for some reason, today…it became real.

The 2013 International Food Bloggers Conference (a.k.a. IFBC) is coming to Seattle and is only a mere 3 months away.
To say I’m a hot mess of anxiety, anticipation and giddiness would be a complete understatement. I’m not gonna lie. I’m sssooo nervous!
It will be my first food blogging conference, and I’m so looking forward to meeting all the fabulous bloggers and food photographers that inspire me! Yet, it’s one thing to hide behind my computer and write to all of you (my internet friends); but it’s completely different when you actually have to come out of hiding and actually go talk to people that have done this whole food blogging thing a lot longer than you have.
Intimidating. You think?
Yikes!
If you haven’t heard of IFBC before, it was the first-ever conference for food bloggers that started in 2009. That was way back when I was still a food blogger wannabe.

They have an amazing sponsor line-up for this conference!
I’m looking forward to the sampling of gourmet foods prepared by some of the best Seattle chefs and getting tips and tricks I can share with you.
They actually have a session on LoSalt that’s really intriguing for me. I love salt, but my readers have asked for low salt, low calorie recipes. I’m listening! So, you can count on me to check out this session!
And what would a Seattle food blogger’s conference be without an excursion to the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville?
I’ll be sure to post about the experience, along with great recipes!

Three months away! In some ways it feels just around the corner and in others it feels so far away still! You’ll have a blast at IFBC. I’ve been to three different food blogger conferences and IFBC last year in Portland was my favorite of them all, hands down. I know it’ll be even better this year in Seattle. Everyone at IFBC was so friendly and welcoming, it helps make the nervousness go away!
See you there in three months! 🙂
