These Easy Grilled Habanero Hot Wings are perfectly crisp on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside. Easy to prepare on the grill, they come together in less than 25 minutes.

Got your grillin’ on?

Easy Grilled Habanero Hot Wings | Inspiration KitchenI sure hope so, because there are few recipes that are easier, faster or more tasty than this one.

We like fast and easy come summer time, yes? Hot wings, summer and cold beer go hand-in-hand. Don’t you agree?

And what you’ll love about these Easy Grilled Habanero Hot Wings is that you can easily prepare them at home, but they”re also great for picnics, tailgating, or camping.  Which means they would be absolutely perfect for your 4th of July party!

Hot wings love the grill!

Easy Grilled Habanero Hot Wings | Inspiration KitchenThese are so simple, you will love it!  The key to killer grilled wings is turning the grill to medium heat and grilling the wings skin-side down first.  Leave them skin-side down approximately 5-10 minutes, then turn them periodically – cooking a total of 25-30 minutes or until done.

When prepared on the grill this way, the skin will get charred and crispy, and the wings come off the grill piping hot, tender and juicy on the inside. Like they should be! 🙂

To keep them from sticking, I always oil my grate several times before placing the hot wings on the grill, which also helps get them evenly done.

Once they’re done, put them in a big bowl, pour on the sauce – then toss – and you’ll have absolutely heavenly, crispy hot wings! And plenty to feed a crowd, provided you’re willing to share!

Easy Grilled Habanero Hot Wings | Inspiration KitchenThe other wonderful thing I love about BBQ wings is, that you can totally switch up the BBQ sauce. For this recipe, I took one of our favorite store-bought barbeque sauces and added a spicy habanero sauce to it. This small tweak made the BBQ sauce perfectly sweet with a bite of habanero spice that added incredible depth and flavor to the wings.

Nice and spicy on the tongue with just the right amount of heat!

If you are like us, wings must have a crispy, crunchy outside (char is ok too!) and when tossed with a savory, buttery sauce that packs some heat, is pure summer perfection. For getting that perfect crispy skin, start with the wings, skin side down, and don’t toss with the sauce until the wings are done.

Easy Grilled Habanero Hot Wings | Inspiration KitchenNow that you know what we’re having – tell me…what do you plan to have on your grill this Independence Day on July 4th?

Enjoy!

Easy Grilled Habanero Hot Wings

These spicy, grilled Habanero Hot Wings are fast, easy and so amazingly tender and flavorful, you'll love them for summer time!
Course: Main
Author: Kristi

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings rinsed and patted dry
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite barbeque sauce* see note
  • 1/4 cup habanero hot sauce

Instructions

  • Heat gas grill to medium heat until hot.
  • Place wings directly on oiled grill and cook for 25-30 minutes, turning periodically.
  • Toss with Habanero BBQ sauce and serve.

Notes

*Only use as much Habanero sauce as you can handle!!! Taste as you go. This is a spicy sauce, so if you need to use LESS Habanero sauce, just add a bit at a time. I used Jack Daniels Spicy Original barbeque sauce and Yucatan Sunshine Habanero Hot Sauce.
