Wow, oh wow, are you going to love this summertime smoothie!

Grape Banana Smoothie | Inspiration Kitchen-7397

Grape Banana Smoothie | Inspiration Kitchen-7292

It’s light, creamy, crisp with just a bit of tartness.  It reminds me of biting into a juicy pineapple – but it has no pineapple in it. 🙂

Grape Banana Smoothie | Inspiration Kitchen-7322

We absolutely lllooovvveeeddd this smoothie and I think you will too.  With summertime quickly approaching (well, at least for some of us!), there can never be a shortage of good refreshing smoothies to start your day off right!

Grape Banana Smoothie | Inspiration Kitchen-7313I am always looking for ways to get flaxseed into my diet and I’ve found that hiding them in smoothies is the perfect way to get my daily intake.  If you don’t have flaxseed on hand, feel free to omit it.

The recipe below makes a smoothie that will serve 2 of you!

Enjoy!

Thanks Johlene – I love my mason jars 🙂 I use them for everything (drinks, as a vase, to store things). I’m not quite sure what I’d do without them! Have a beautiful weekend!

I love grapes too – and they made an awesome addition to the smoothie! It made the flavor so crisp! Next time, I’m going to try it with frozen grapes and less ice. 😉

The green grapes give it a fresh, crisp taste that you just can’t duplicate with any other fruit. Enjoy!

In so intrigued that it tastes like biting into a pineapple without any in the recipe! I don’t use grapes in smoothies enough. And like you I try to get chia seeds into my diet (like flax in yours); I need to throw them in smoothies more often. This sounds so refreshing….and like vacation!

Toni – vacation is the perfect explanation for this smoothie! What’s great about it is, you can freeze the grapes and use them when you need them – and they’re already cold for the smoothie! So glad you like it!
