This Hummer Sandwich is a massive, meat-lovers sandwich loaded with roast beef, black forest ham and pastrami, then topped with provolone cheese and heated until melty.  It’s a soft, sink-your-teeth-into-it, ooey, gooey, cheesey sandwich you will absolutely love!

With Monday’s Easy Microwave Potato Chips recipe, I felt it was only appropriate to give you a monster sandwich to go with those lovely chips.

Hummer Sandwich | Inspiration KitchenMeet the Hummer Sandwich.

{p.s.  before I get to the recipe + post, please be sure to read the bottom, because I have a few things to tell you!…}  🙂

Ok, let’s get to this sandwich I’m so excited to share!  This is one of our all-time favorite sandwiches that originated at our most favorite pub and restaurant evah!

Yes, it’s a copycat of Apogee Pub & Eatery‘s Hummer Sandwich.  Apogee is a local restaurant that consistently delivers amazingly delicious food.  Like crazy delicious!

Hummer Sandwich | Inspiration KitchenThis story goes back a looooong time…  The Apogee Pub is where The Husband and I met 25 years ago and it’s been our go-to Pub ever since!  Because their food is so amazing, I wanted to share just one of the many, many things we like to order on their menu.

As you can probably tell by its name, the Hummer is a massive, meat-lovers sandwich loaded with roast beef, ham and pastrami, layered with provolone cheese, then wrapped tightly in aluminum foil and tossed in the oven until warm and melted until the ooey-gooey deliciousness stage.

And, to make it even better, it’s served with a pickle, onions and tomatoes on the side. And, a dash of horseradish if you so choose! 🙂

Hummer Sandwich | Inspiration KitchenTrust me…this is one FABulous sandwich!  I kid you not.  It’s the bomb of sandwiches!

Ok, let’s get onto announcements and other news…

On this one Ella – yes! On this particular post, all vegetarians need not apply! Hahaha! I like veggie sandwiches too (and I have an amazing recipe coming soon!), but for this recipe – it definitely doesn’t qualify! 🙂

Thank you Renee! He has made a world of difference for me – it gives me more time to be creative and write and not have to focus on the business side of it. I love ALL of it, but I don’t have time when I work full-time. So he’s definitely a welcome addition, and it’s such a fun thing to do together! And, just so you know…WE (you and me, my sistah!) are meeting some day. There’s no doubt about that! xoxo
