Peanut Butter Banana Pumpkin Smoothie – one of the creamiest, smoothest smoothies you’ll ever drink. Plan to have this become your favorite smoothie ever!

Oh you guysssss…. I just found my new secret love.

Peanut Butter & Banana Pumpkin Smoothie - Inspiration Kitchen

I guess it’s not-so-secret any more, because I’m going to share it with you.

I know, right?  You’re welcome.  Welcome to silk in a glass.

With peanut butter.

And pumpkin.

And yummy deliciousness.

This smoothie is so creamy and silky.  Smooooothhhh and undeniably delicious.  I swear it is THE best pumpkin smoothie I’ve ever had.  It’s absolutely perfect for breakfast, because it’s not to sweet, nor to rich.  The pumpkin, peanut butter and banana make it perfectly filling and satisfying.  I think you’ll love it.

I’m so happy about fall!  Aren’t you?  Bring on the pumpkins!

Enjoy!

Peanut Butter & Banana Pumpkin Smoothie

A delightfully light and flavorful 'fall' smoothie with pumpkin, vanilla and a touch of peanut butter for added richness and flavor.
Prep Time5 mins
Total Time5 mins
Servings: 4
Author: Kristi

Ingredients

  • 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin chilled
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes about 8 ice cubes
  • 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 generous tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 small pinch of ground cloves
  • 1 ripe banana

-------

  • Dash of ground nutmeg

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients (through banana) in a blender, and process until smooth. Garnish with dash of ground nutmeg, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

I recommend you do not try to substitute plain greek yogurt. I tried it, and the flavor is just not right. Use low-fat vanilla yogurt for the best flavor. The four servings I mentioned in the yield, are small servings as you see in the photo.

Oh, you just reminded me of how much I love those Pumpkin Smoothies. Never actually added peanut butter though, should give that a try too!
Just wondering actually, can you add raw pumpkin as well? Or should I cook and puree it first?

The peanut butter makes it really silky and creamy and definitely adds a richness to it that I think you’ll love. I’ve never used raw pumpkin (in anything), so I don’t know if it would work. You might change the flavor profile if you do. I think if you cooked and pureed the pumpkin, it might even be better than canned!

Next – I just might venture into the world of uncooked pumpkin foods for this smoothie. It’s a big step for me. Just so you know.
