Food Network magazine recently published an article on upcoming food eating contests this summer.
I’ve never been one to participate in competitive eating, but if I were, I’d like to think I’d plan the challenge I competed in…mmmmm, well…strategically.
You know, choose a food I could actually eat enough of but also loved and know I wouldn’t get tired of eating later?
Now, I will admit…I am competitive by nature, but…if I was getting something I really, really loved…
I might not (but I’m not sure), possibly (probably), wouldn’t mind losing either.
The line-up for June was:
1. Spaghetti
2. Funnel Cakes
3. Curly Fries
4. BBQ Ribs
5. Lobster
I don’t know about you, but the BBQ Ribs and Lobster contest has my name written all over them.
Personally, I’m voting for the BBQ ribs, because I know I can handle huge volumes of that. I did it just yesterday, in fact, where we polished off 2.5 pounds of these Jalapeno BBQ Baby Back Pork Ribs, which were absolutely, positively, utterly divine.
Trust me…my real first choice was the lobster, but I’m afraid the richness of it would ruin me from eating lobster forever, and I just can’t risk that.
Are you in?
Tell me…what contest would you most likely join?
