This Spicy Habanero Honey BBQ Sauce is an excellent mix of sweet and spicy that will tingle your tastebuds. Bring on the BBQ!

Sometimes ya just need to kick things up a notch.  Know what I’m sayin’?

So, you remember the tea party I told you about?  Well, THOSE GIRLS are just much to good.

Now…for the party I had to host (of course, following after the most-perfect-tea-party-ever), not only did I manage to make the tea (which I fretted about (my first time making loose tea in a real teapot, mind you))…I also managed to pull out the big guns of my triple threat – my Hawaiian Pulled Pork Sliders (which are a no-fail crowd-pleaser).  But.., on top of that!…I even managed to make this kick-butt Spicy Habanero Honey BBQ sauce.

Which was totally, perfectly awesome by the way.  The girls loved it.

But, they upstaged me once again.

They brought gifts.

Tea Party Gifts 02 | Cherry JasmineTell me…am I the worst hostest ever?  Seriously.  I’m asking you.

It was all I could do to clean the house, get the food ready and tell the cat-kids not to ppffttttt cat hair all over the place as they psycho-ran all over the house before the guests arrived.  (I mean really, who else obsesses and has to vacuum 3 times a day???).

How the heck, can you tell me, could I have managed organizing gifts?

While I oooo-ed and ahhhh-ed over how incredibly sweet the gifts were (mortified that I hadn’t thought of it first – one would think I would’ve learned from the first tea party, wouldn’t one?), I realized how truly great, awesome and amazing women they are.

My chicas.  I ssssooooo heart them.

And, I have to tell you…the food they brought was AMAZING!  There were gourmet-prepared dates topped with succulent sea salt and decadent cranberry, walnut scones…mmmmm… (p.s.  please don’t tell them, but I plan to reveal their recipes right here on this blog.  Shhhhh!  Keep it quiet and pinkie swear, k? I’m pretty sure they don’t read this blog.  Not until I grab their arm behind their back wenching it nice and tight and tellin’ ’em to).

But, these are seriously talented women.  I’m so blessed to have them in my life, and especially to have their food in my belly.  I’m much richer for it.

For all my readers out there – I hope you have chicas in your life.  And if you do…hug ’em tight and tell ’em how much you appreciate them.  They are the spice of life.  Good friends, good life.

And, if you know me, I love my spicy!!! Which means, I love my habaneros!!!  And so, I made them this sauce.

So, today I dub them my little spicy habaneros.  My chicas.  Cheers and thanks to a great party with my best friends!

Someone at food.com also suggested replacing the water with dark rum. That would certainly be some bbq sauce!
