These Spicy Shrimp Sliders with Celery Mayonnaise are an amazingly quick and delicious snack or dinner time sandwich!
I love finding low-fat, perfect-for-summer shrimp recipes that pack a lot of flavor.
Especially when they come disguised as a burger.
Hot summer days beg for low-fat, light, yet flavorful recipes that leave you satiated and satisfied, don’t you think?
In this recipe, I swapped Canola Mayonnaise with Fat-Free Mayonnaise, and 2% reduced-fat Greek yogurt for fat-free Greek yogurt. Trust me on this one – you won’t notice the difference, and you’ll save yourself some unnecessary (and dare I say, unwanted?) calories!
Before putting it all together, we did do a blind taste test using Best Foods Light Mayonnaise (35 calories, 3.5g fat), Best Foods Canola Mayonnaise (40 calories, 4.0g fat) and Kraft Fat-Free Mayonnaise (10 calories, 0.0g fat).
The Kraft Fat-Free Mayonnaise won hands down, which really helped lighten the calorie load for this great, spicy recipe!
Remember, it was a blind test taste, and we didn’t cheat…so, to have the fat-free mayonnaise win, was a surprise to all of us {{fat}} lovers.
It made me want to eat all 8 of these sliders, but I think that might defeat the purpose of a low fat recipe. Don’t you think? After all, one does have to eat in moderation. Doesn’t one?
Or not?
Enjoy!
