WordPress Editorial Calendar

March 12, 2014 by Kristi 22 Comments

I love being organized. When my life is organized, life just seems easier.

WA Wednesday WordPress Editorial Calendar One plug-in that has helped keep me on track with scheduling posts on a regular cadence is the plug-in WordPress Editorial Calendar.

Once installed, it lets you see all of your scheduled posts at a glance.  This is particularly helpful when pre-planning a post to recognize a special occasion or event.

Quick Start

Two things I want to mention:

  1. This is for WordPress .org users only.  It does not apply to WordPress.com accounts.
  2. If you are already familiar with installing plug-ins through your WordPress dashboard, then you don’t need to follow the step-by-step instructions. But, please note:
  • when you search for the plug-in to install it, it is called Editorial Calendar
  • after it is installed it is called WordPress Editorial Calendar

That can be a bit confusing. 🙂

Cheers!

That’s it! Your posts will now appear in your calendar!

Gosh – I was too Marcie (flying by the seat of my pants), and that just stressed me out! It would be a Monday and I’d be like “auhhhh! I haven’t done a post!” This has really helped for me to see it visually. I hope you like the plug-in.

Yeeesssss! I installed this plugin this weekend and I AM OBSESSED! Organization is my middle name. I could spend hours (and hundreds of dollars) in The Container Store or Bed Bath and Beyond! Mecca.

[I just scrolled up and read some other comments and I feel like I might be a bit *too* excited. Oh well. Love your new series, btw.]
